Poesie Poems of Charles Bukowski

Belfast

mando una lettera a Belfast a qualcuno che legge i miei libri.
non so perché ma mi sembra
curioso
scrivere a qualcuno di Belfast
ma al giorno d’oggi
lutto é curioso
molto
come fare lo scrittore
o sedere qui
in pigiama
o pantofole
í\ mezzanotte e mezza
scnza nemmeno
un pensiero
mentre la mia giovane moglie
o andata da qualche parte
a divertirsi
come é dovere
tlelle giovani mogli.

Belfast
writing a letter to Belfast to somebody who reads my books.
somehow it seems odd to
wríte a letter to
Belfast
but everything is odd
these days
very
like writing books.
or sitting here
in stríped pants and
slippers at
12:30 a. m.
without even
thinking
as my young wife is
out somewhere
enjoying herself
as young wives
should
do.

tempi moderni

appena perduta un’altra poesía
nel computer.
non direi che fosse
immortale.
nemmeno lo sonó
questo giorno
e stanotte.
non quando
tutto quello che ti viene in mente
e il cavallo numero 4
sulla linea del traguardo
che disarciona il fantino
in casacca gialla
e l’uomo di fronte
addenta un hot-dog
come un cañe
hastardo
mentre la Borsa
scende
e Van Gogh
sale.

the modern life

just lost another poetn in this
computer.
I don’t believe it was
immortal.
neither was this day
or night.
not when all you
can remember
is the 4 horse breaking
through the gate
and spilling the jock
in the yellow silks
as the man
in front ofyou
bit into a hotdog
like a mongrel
dog
as the market went
down
and Van Gogh
up.
